Behavioural Science refers to the systematic analysis of human behaviour and decision-making, drawing on academic fields such as economics, psychology, sociology, and neuroscience. In this Guide developed for GIZ, we explain key concepts (e.g. related to mental resources, cognitive biases, social thinking) and how they can be relevant in the context of employment promotion programming. In addition, the Guide presents evidence of a broad range of behavioural interventions and shows how behavioural science can be better integrated in employment promotion interventions.
